Hey, You, want a smoke

No thanks, they make me choke

I heard that it makes you pale blue

And drugs are really bad for you

It just takes one puff a day

To make you feel that you're not okay

At any age drugs appear

Thousands of people die a year

Drugs can kill you by making you sick

Throw them away now, quick, quick, quick!

Thank you to my DARE Officer

Pleasanton American Little League 10 Year-Old All-Stars
Post Season Recap

This group of kids possess a tremendous amount of team spirit & camaraderie along with a skill & determination. Together with their superb coaching staff, this team has made the 2003 Post-Season quite exciting. Let’s recap District 57:

Game 1: Canyon Creek vs PALL 10-Year-Old All-Stars
David Camarena was the starting pitcher and went 5 innings – faced 18 batters throughout the 5 innings pitched, tallied up: 3 Hits, 6 strikeouts – No Walks. Chris Keck came in the Top of the 6th and faced 3 batters – struck 2 out and the final batter hit a ground ball to David Camarena (playing SS) who fired a shot to Alex Osterholt at 1st for the final out of the game.

Offensively: The PALL 10-Year-Old All-Stars have shown a lot of patience at the plate – waiting for “their pitch” and racked up the following Hits:
Chris Keck had a double in the 1st, then a stolen base on a passed ball but was stranded at 3rd. For the next 4 innings, the players were getting the bat on the ball, however, the fielding was very good from Canyon Creek. . Staring the Bottom of the 6th, trailing by 1 run, Aaron Hafford took a walk, then David Camarena was hit by a pitch, he was ‘OK” and took his place at 1st and advanced Aaron to 2nd. This set the stage for Greg Dillon who had a “textbook” bunt that “loaded the bases”. Chris Keck took the plate but never did see “his pitch” and was walked, which brought Aaron Hafford in to tie the game at 1 all. Taylor Menzel then stepped into the batter’s box, took the 1st pitch for a strike and on the 2nd delivery hit a ground ball to the 3rd baseman that knocked him down, which brought in the winning run.

Final Score: Canyon Creek 1
PALL 10-Year-Old All-Stars 2

Game 2: PALL 10-Year-Old All-Stars vs Livermore American\
