The Twins' comeback began in the fifth inning when Brandon Dodak crushed a double to left-center. The Twins' late scoring surge salvaged gutsy pitching performances by starter Andy Bordenave (six strikeouts), Joseph Kwon and Gunnar Langenhuizen, who held the Angels scoreless over a two-inning stint despite surrendering a lead-off triple in the third inning. Angels vs. Twin: The AA Angles opened the season with an exciting game last Saturday against the AA Twins. The Angels got things going in the top of the first. Blake also started the game on the mound and threw 2 terrific innings giving up just 1 run while striking out 4. Aggressive baserunning on some sloppy infield play got the Angles a few runs and the Twins pitcher struggled with control walking 8 batters in the inning. Later in the inning, Brett Barker and Vincent Tanisawa added consecutive run scoring singles. The Rangers managed 1 run in the top of the 2nd, but their rally ended when catcher Daniel Reedy retrieved a passed ball and flipped it to pitcher Collin Miller to tag out a Ranger baserunner trying to steal home. Collin, Andreas and Brett each pitched well and kept the Ranger bats in check most of the game. The highlight of the game came in the top of the 4th.&n bsp; After having scored 3 runs and with bases loaded and just one out, a Rangers batter slapped a ground ball to the left side of the infield. Another big defensive play in the top of the 5th ended another potential Rangers rally. With 1 out and a runner at first, a Rangers batter hit a fly ball into shallow CF.
